Some Like It & Some Don’t!

What am I talking about?

It is for some a passion that extends into oblivion where no external ‘noise’ can infiltrate!

Where the story that’s being written comes directly into the fingers that are typing or writing!

How does this happen? Well, I don’t know for sure, my guess is simply that I have a conversational gift that doesn’t come from my mouth! lol

Some would say that’s a bonus!

I am just happy to be able to express myself for hours on end without interruption. Hehehe…. It’s not verbal diarrhoea I’ve got, simply letting my fingers do my talking! I find I make more sense this way. (I AM learning how to communicate through speaking though!!! lol)

So, for those who don’t find passion in writing, do they find passion in the spoken word? Well this isn’t always the case, they may have their gift somewhere else! We all have a gift! Mine is writing. Yours could be knitting!

Have you found your gift?

What if you could live your life using your gift to earn the money to pay your bills and have fun?

Would this be worthwhile finding out what your own ‘gift’ is?

So, rather than me chat on & on about what I do, how about if I help you to discover your own gift?

Sorry, I didn’t hear you – did you say that’d be cool?

You DO want to know what you’re good at, and you’d like to do this full time – as your work?

Great! You do need a pen(cil) though! Sorry, we do need to write some things down!

Firstly, draw 2 lines down the page creating 3 columns. Then label the columns: What I Love, What I Like and What I Dislike!

Can you guess what I want you to do next? YES! Fill the columns with things you love, like and dislike.

These can be driving, reading, washing, babysitting, playing with children, research, Facebook, anything that comes into your head, write it down in one of those columns. It will fit only one!!!

I’d carry on going till you can’t think of anything else! Then look at what you have produced.

The best thing here, is that YOU have manged to do what I call a brain-dump! Hehehe Of course you still have some brains left, you have simply uncluttered your mind!

What do you feel when you look at the lists? Are they logical?

How do you feel about the contents of each ‘list’? Surprise? Shock? The knowledge that you have been truthful with yourself?

So what now?

OK then. Circle the top 5 in each list – the activities you feel you MOST love, like & dislike.

Now, turn over the page and write down the 5 activities you LOVE…spaced out so there’s room in between each word.

Write alongside each word, what work you know is associated with each activity.

Is this making sense?

When you’ve exhausted all the possibilities, then simply do the same with the other two sets of words.

You’ll end up with  a list of jobs/careers/work that you may just Love, Like or Dislike!

If your current job falls into the category of ‘Dislike’ then you have a challenge and a choice……..

Because you’ve also identified careers which you could possibly like or even love!!!

With this exercise, you may well have stumbled upon something that you hadn’t thought of before. Something you love to do and perhaps can also get paid to do! Loving your work sounds like a great idea doesn’t it? It’s possible – I am proof!!!

If you want further information or help, please go to my website and get in touch with me.

I am the SMART Copywriter, with heart!

Huge hugs for taking the time to read this – I hope you also did/enjoyed the exercise….writing can be FUN, when there’s a purpose associated with it!

Bye for now,

Emotive Words

What happens when you string a few simple words together to create a phrase, a sentence or a paragraph?

People will always feel an emotion based on the message being delivered. Whether it is spelt incorrectly, borne from an angry tirade, or from a loving heart, the reader will take something from it.

Therefore it is very important that the intended message is being being ‘felt’ purposefully, as the words flow.   Amazing books are written by people who are living out the scenario they are portraying – in their mind!

Perhaps it was their true experience that generated the emotion. Or perhaps they have an extraordinary imagination like JK Rowling or Paolo Coelho.

They may even have a determined message to ‘heal the world’ like the awesome Michael Jackson (rest in peace) who created emotive songs from his words of wisdom.

Martin Luther King and many activists who are ‘battling’ to change the world by appealing vocally to its inhabitants, may use the strengths of pain and power to push buttons within the spoken word.

However words are ‘strung’ together, know that when there is an important reason behind a message, the reader will have an expanded reaction.

What is it that people want to say to each other?

Why do some of us concentrate so much on ‘effective communication’ whilst others abuse words without thinking about the consequences?!

Once out, our messages cannot be retracted! It is vital therefore that we understand how our integrity can produce the most constructive copy.

We are powerful beings with amazing memories and a ‘hard-drive’ full of storage that consistently affects our daily lives!

What would YOU like to remember?

One school of thought suggests that the loudest voice in our head is not always the one to listen to, when compiling emotive copy.

If like me, you believe that intuition and inspiration come out to play together in the creation of our messages, then you may not always want to listen to the noise that I call Ego! I like to be quiet and listen to the calm voice that delivers the most compelling, wonderful conversation I can have with a piece of paper or a series of buttons on a type-pad!

When I add excitement to my conversation, I feel girly and quirky and energetic and alive, and oh so amazed that these feelings can exist in me, with the sole purpose of sharing my excitement about an event or a product or a film that I have loved.

Do you know how YOU write?

I think it is important that you know the answer to this question, so that you know who you are, where your integrity lies and what your intentions are toward others. Your message speaks volumes about you so make sure it portrays who you really are!

With many blessings for your continued success,

Writing Great Copy

What’s it all about…..Andie?

Simplicity – That’s what!

Who is going to be reading the copy?

Will they want loads of waffle? Will they understand long words? Can they be bothered with technology?

Chances are, NO!

So, What makes great copy?

Probably the type of things YOU like to read about. Text that gets straight to the point, is warm and inviting but not too fluffy. Is caring and knowledgable about YOUR desires. THESE are the things that are going to attract people.

Keep It Simple Sunny and KISS your customers.

Follow Your Dreams – They Could Come TRUE!

When you have a dream, a vision of how you’d like life to be, sometimes you think that’s all it can be!

Well, I’ve got news for you…….. That dream, that vision, could well come true!

By using a set of actions that will create small shifts, you really could be living the life you dream of, in real life!

Want to know more?

It’s a simple concept – and involves total belief and trust!

Do you have your dream in mind?

What is it?

Picture the scene, smell the air within your scene and describe what you have just conjured up, at the front of a new journal, NOW.

Now, Read your words, is there anything you can add to make it more real?

WHEN would you like this to become your life? NOW?

Just add these words to the start of your ‘dream’:

I am now living my ultimate dream. YES, It’s come true. I am/have………….(the description of your dream follows on here)

You see, the power of NOW, is incredible. If you always ‘wish’ for something, you will always wish for it, unless you make it happen!

Taking the feeling of ‘having’ and ‘living’ your dream, makes it seem more real and therefore the excitement of experiencing it NOW, will fill your body and mind with an energy that will begin to attract what you wish for.

Now, don’t go thinking you can wish for extra arms or legs and they will start to grow, let’s be a little more realistic – at least to start with! If other people have what you wish for, then it’s entirely possible for you to have it too! Dreams normally consist of a lifestyle change, like being better off financially or having THAT car! Maybe a beautiful relationship, having a family, or even a house in an idyllic location. What’s your dream?

So, you have your dream written in detail, in your journal and it excites you. It’s written as if you have it now, and it’s something you know you could have. so then what?

Start a vision board. This simply consists of a board of some sort, (could be an empty wall!) some sticky tape, glue or tacks. Your dream will become your vision, visible every day!

What would your whole life look and feel like, in your dream? Can you find images that represent your dream in magazines or papers. Coloured images, not black and white, as life is colourful, so get some catalogues or travel mags. Lifestyle magazines or a printout from something on the web. Then cut out those images that look like the kind of life you wish for.

Stick them, pin them or paste them on the area you have decided will hold your vision. Do you get it? This area in your home is ‘holding your vision’, so you can live it daily and remember the excitement that you felt by bringing your dream ‘to life!’

Are you excited by what you have created so far? Are you intrigued?
In my next post, I will add some additional steps that will create further shifts in your mind.

AND, I know this process works, as I have done it myself. I will share some of my successes with you to inspire you.

Thank you for reading this, and for adding me to your favourites.

Huge virtual hugs,

In Loving Memory of my Beautiful Grandma Rose

Think of a Rose, and what do you see?
Many pretty petals,
All soft as silk
And blessedly vibrant in colour.

Can you smell her wonderful scent?
Can you touch her silky softness?
Can you hear her sway in the breeze?
What colour is YOUR Rose?

Our senses and our memories,
Store many wonderful gifts.
Reminders of beauty and happiness.
And of lazy, hazy days gone by.

Our Rose is stored very carefully in our memories.
She stays there for when we need her.
Her memory makes us smile,
As her hand as soft as silky petals, gently touches ours.

Take those precious memories of your Rose,
And share them with others, everywhere you go.
In the Garden of Love, keep her alive, and vibrant,
And her many fragranced petals fresh.

In all our gardens, the Rose obeys the seasons.
Her life depends on change, sunshine, rain and love.
Loving the roots of the rose is to love the Rosebud that dies,
And this great love feeds and nurtures our hearts and minds.

Our pretty, vibrant Rose isn’t gone,
She’s there, when you want her, in our hearts and minds.
Bless her.

Release Tension and Relax

Did you know……………………………?

How many times have you heard this question?
Did you switch off?
Did you listen half-heartedly?
Did you listen, and actually take the advice/info on board?

Well, I listen to what people have to say. ALL of it!
I must know what they want me to know.
It may well answer my own question!
Sometimes our unconcious mind has a question…….for a valid reason that we might be unaware of……….it sends it out, and then someone comes over and starts talking to us………for instance:

“Did you know that you can get a series of mental awakening messages online?”
…….Hmmmmmm, I was only asking myself that question the other day!

See what I mean?

Well, for those people out there who have wanted to find a truly inspiring website to release their daily tensions, relax their minds and bodies and grow as a person, here might well be the answer to your question………

Quite simple really. I mean it….this particular website is a very simple and powerful means of getting the things you want most from your day. Peace, contentment, love, energy, they can all be yours, and more.

Of course there are other ways and means, aren’t there? And yet you have been directed here……..for a very good reason, which by the way, you may not be aware of.

Trust your unconcious mind to deliver what’s good for you. Carefully listen to the voice in your head that tells you to drive this way today – it could mean you avoid an accident, or that you get to your destination quicker!

Go check out this peaceful website…..I know you’ll be thankful that you did.

I’ll have another blog in this series very soon, charting my own personal development recommendations, as I discover their worth. It’s been a long journey already, and it seems that I’ve only just begun, such is the wealth of information available!

Thank you for visiting.
May your life prosper, through your unconcious actions.
